Spiritual Law #1 sounds pretty serious doesn't it? Well, law is a pretty serious subject, even when its Spiritual Law. Perhaps it would do us well to take Spiritual Law a little more seriously than any other.
I recently finished a great book about Spiritual Laws of Prosperity and I must say, I feel enlightened in this area. I touched on this law briefly in my Generosity blog, so I've decided to blog a little deeper here.
I will not bombard you with my religious beliefs because I believe everyone is entitled to their beliefs; I just hope you believe in something. Whatever you do believe in, it will not alter the effect following the Spiritual Laws of Prosperity will have on your life when you start following them.
I had little, personal experience with Tithing until 2007, when I made my first of many small offerings. Since then my offerings have slowly increased; although I'm still working my way to a full 10%. Last I checked, I'm pretty close. Many say you need to immediately tithe the full 10% and I agree that to receive the greatest results, tithe the full 10% as soon as possible. However, I have already seen the results that come from tithing; therefore, I can testify that even tithing a little is better than tithing nothing at all.
Start small if you have to and build from there. Never forget though, that you are building to the 10% or you may stop short of your goal and not receive all of your true blessings.
Call it what you like, I myself, do not believe in coincidence. I believe everything happens for a reason, whether we understand it or not. After upping my tithing amount earlier this year, I have seen serious, positive changes come to my life financially and most recent in other areas. I have seen and felt my own faith increase which serves me more every day.
So what is Tithing and how do you know who or what to tithe to?

Tithing is giving of your income to the people, person, organization or church that provides you with your spiritual food. Some may believe it has to be a church but I do not. I believe everyone receives spiritual food from a variety of avenues and limiting where you can tithe to is like limiting where you can shop. You get to choose; however, choose wisely. DO NOT try to cheat the system!
Bills are not tithing, nor are non-monetary donations to organizations such as GoodWill or the Salvation Army. It would be far too easy to use bills and everyday expenses as a means to avoid true tithing. You're only hurting yourself when you do not tithe properly.
Remember the rules: Tithe 10% of your income, including cash gifts, to a person, group, organization or church that fills you up spiritually. It could be as simple as the waitress who served you coffee and spke words of kindness and comfort when you were going through a hard time and stopped in for some coffee. If you have a massage therapist who goes above and beyond massage therapy by listening and offering comforting words of wisdom or advice when you visit for your massage, you can tithe to her/him if you like. If they fill you u spiritually, you can tithe to them and it counts.
Keep in mind that Tithing must be done without complaint; freely and in a fun way hopefully. Have fun with it! Give freely and lovingly, with complete faith that you will be filled up in return. Sometimes you already are!
Tithing is not the only Spiritual Law of Prosperity and prosperity is not limited to money alone. Tithing is the first law and I will share the rest of them with you as well, so that you may prosper now, not later!
I encourage youno actually, I challenge you to tithe for 6 months the full 10% of your gross income, freely and lovingly and see what happens in your life. You can tithe to anyone, any place as long as he, she or they fill you up spiritually. That is the only stipulation.
And don't forget to have faith! Nothing in life can be brought to fruition without emotional motivation and faith is one of the most powerful emotions for manifestation.
Have faith in tithing and begin your journey to bring prosperity into your life.
